British Canoeing was founded in 1936 and is responsible for developing the sport within UK. Today British Canoeing is responsible for leading and setting the overall framework for all the National Associations and includes areas such as coaching, competition and representing canoeing interests at a UK level.

Go Paddling is the British Canoeing initiative which aims to get new people into paddle sport and keep them there. It signposts new paddlers to how and where to go paddling through a bespoke website and allows you to download and create canoe trails and kayak trails.
